Halloween 2009

We had a beautiful trick-or-treat night this year! Couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather! The kids LOVED going house to house and filling up their goody bags. Of course, every few steps they wanted to pop a new piece of sugar-laden goodness in their mouth. Our favorite d-troit cousins made the trip down, which made the night that much more exciting!

I savor any one-on-one time I get to spend with my babes…. it isn’t too often I can just love on one of them alone! But when I do… I always seem to find one more reason I love them with all my heart.

Sammy is my “sensitive one”…. he is definitely a momma’s boy….

Preschool

Joshua absolutely LOVES school… and his teacher, Mrs. Lohse. I am always so curious how he behaves once he’s there …. if any of his “undesirable” behaviors  he has at home make their way into the classroom. Would LOVE to be a birdie in the window to see how he interacts with the other kids…. and would LOVE to see his face while learning! His teacher sent me some pics that kinda filled in some of those blanks for me. She also was kind enough to put my mind at ease… letting me know that Josh is a “very good boy” and had plenty of positive things to say about him.

7 weeks old

here’s why it’s so hard to get anything done these days… I just want to sit and love on her all day!

A new Era

Well, my lil’ man started preschool this past week! Tears were definitly flowing, but not from him! In fact, when it was my turn to pull up and drop him off… he JUMPED out of the van and RAN to his teacher! Seriously, he did not even look back. Which was probably best, cuz’ it was about that time my tears started steady rollin’. He was all smiles when I was there to pick him up 2 hours later. Favorite part of the day: SNACK. Who woulda thought?!

Two days prior Josh had a trial run at school… the parents were able to join them for their “1st day”/orientation….

Time flies…

Ella is just about 6 weeks old already… how time flies!!!

We’ve been quite BUSY these past few weeks.. here are a few updates…

Vince and I got our 1st date night (plus Ella) when Ella was 3 weeks old. It ended up being a flop… as Ella cried the WHOLE dinner. Since Vince had a “hot dinner” and mine was a cold salad, I offered to go outside w/ her so his food wouldn’t get cold. Nice wifey. So, I walked the parking lot with her as Vince ate by himself. He would wave to me every time I past his window, hold up a beer and ‘toast” me! Once I got her to chill , I was able to join him in time to order dessert. It felt good to get out anyhow!

32… really???

I celebrated my 32nd b-day last week (that’s actually hard for me to even type!) . Anyhoo… the kids were so very excited – Vince took them to Dairy Queen to pick out a yummy icecream cake for momma. Needless to say, I couldn’t blow out the candles fast enough! I had a LOVELY birthday.. spent the day SHOPPING with my mom and sister, and Ella of course!  I came home to homemade arts-n-crafts gifts/cards compliments of my 3 kiddos (and daddy!). Vince surprised me with the funds for an Eliptical… YEAH!!!! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect birthday!
